I have some stuff to tell you about Cheerleaders and girls!

It's the last day of Jerry Lewis' telethon and I hope you called and gave some money. I was watching and you know what? There were some guys and girls doing cheerleading. Boy, they were so good! My grandmamá told me that the cheerleaders at FRA are really, really great. I said, well these are great too.

When I was watching the telethon, I saw that there are some little girls who have one of the diseases of Muscular Dystrophy, too. Theirs is different than mine, but it's still Muscular Dystrophy, so they can't cheerlead like maybe you can. So, can you help them, too?

It doesn't take very much. And I know you have your cellphone with you, 'cause my mom carries her with her wherever she goes - don't you?

Okay. I'm going back and watch about Jerry's kids, 'cause I'm one. Please, help me to find the cure for me and all of us, okay? I love you for helping. Tell everybody!

Love,

Gabe

Guess What! I found another way you can help! And it's Easy!

Hey, I'm back already!! :-)

My Mom gave me this cool way for you to donate and my brothers (that's them - I'm the really really cute one!) said I should post it, so here it is.

You know, my Mom uses her cellphone a lot - she talks on it a bunch - do you too? Well, she told me this is how you can send some money to help us and here it is:

Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy fundraising platform simply text the word “CURE” to 90999 to make a one time $5 donation to our cause. A one-time donation of $5 will be added to your mobile phone bill.

Wow! That's big writing, huh?! But I'm not sure how to fix it, and maybe it's supposed to be big so you can see it! My grandmamá says that we all spend more than that on our cellphones when we do songs and other stuff. So, it's a good thing to help with finding ways to (what did you say, Mom? oh, okay) research (I couldn't spell it, but Mom helped) and cure Muscular Dystrophy.

What do you think? Want to help out? Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!

Okay. I'm gonna go play a game. First I have to see if my brothers are going to. Then we have to take turns. Bye! Talk to you soon!

Jerry Lewis is having a telethon show! For me and the other guys!

Hi everyone - It's me - Gabe.

This water sure feels good to me! It's a holiday this weekend, did you know that? No school on Monday!

And Mom said that all this weekend this old guy named Jerry Lewis is going to ask people to give some of their money to help us cure Muscular Dystrophy (I can spell it now.)

So, how it works is you can call on the telephone and tell them how much you want to give. If you don't have a lot of money, then you can give a little bit. But if you have TONS of money, then you can give a lot, can't you? 'Cause it's really to help guys like me, and big guys too; and in between.

It's cost a lot of money to find cures for things and figure it out. Even with the insurance stuff, there's still a lot to pay.

Can you help? It'd mean a lot to all us guys. Then we can all live to be old, just like you! I'm 7 now, and I think I can be old, like all my grandmoms and grandpa Geoff, because I know you'll help us find a way to help the doctors and stuff.

I'm gonna go swim some more. It helps my muscles feel really good. Now, don't forget, k? It only takes a little bit to help - but if you have a lot, it's okay to give a lot too!!!

Thanks! Talk with you next time!

Today I feel great! Mom and I got a really good report from the doctors, and we're all intending that I'm doing a lot better and that I don't need steroids - and won't - maybe never ever!
Jumping on the trampoline is so much fun! And, it's really good exercise for my muscles.
Today my grandmamá talked with a really nice woman named Cristina. Cristina is in my gmama's class at school (my gmama goes to school like me!) and this nice lady is going to school to learn how to work with children who have something called Autism. It's different than what I have, but those kids have many challenges also - and so do their parents.
I hope Cristina can help the kids she works with. My gmama says God bless her.
I am blessing everybody who helps us all to get better - to heal and be well. So grandmama said she is going to put a couple of links (that means, she told me an address to where you can find information on almost anything on the internet) about Autism, because when we share information, we can make friends and get smarter!
And I know that my Mom and Dad and both my grandmoms are smart! My brothers are too - well, most of the time :-)
Talk with you next time! (I have school tomorrow.)

Our first post - an Introduction

Hi.

I'm Gabriel, and, well, I'm a pretty cool guy...at least everybody around me thinks so (sometimes I get on my brothers' nerves, but hey, sometimes they bug me, too.)

This site was my Mom's idea. Now, there's cool! She is always right there for me (and sometimes to tell me what she doesn't want me to do. Her hugs are really great, too.

My Dad, he works hard like my Mom. He sure is a big guy. He gives me good hugs too. They both love us all very, very much.

So, let me have my Mom tell you some stories. Maybe my grandmothers and grandpa Geoff might write stuff too. Here she is. Hi, Mom!!!
*******************************************************************
Gabriel was diagnosed about four months ago with Beckers Muscular Dystrophy. We all here in this little group of family who are friends - and all love Gabriel and all the boys - will be writing all kinds of stuff that relates to MD. We've invited it to leave...it's time is done...stay tuned.
